A Sunny Spot....

to mark your book?

Sure why not!

I've been hoarding these giant paper clips that I picked up from Walmart for a while now. I knew they would be perfect for a bookmark of sorts, so with some amazing QKD stamps, a little ink, and paper scraps I have the perfect card and mini gift for that reader in your life!

(Ok die hard fans three guesses as to which book I used in the pic and the first two don't count!)

Happy Earth Day

Today is a beautiful yet cold day to celebrate the Earth here in my neck of the woods!
The sun is bright and since we haven't seen it in days I'm reallly enjoying it!
Today Clear ans Simple Stamps is celebrating Eart Day with a few new stamp releases
and a challenge on the pcp group to reuse or recycle items for your paper project.

Here is what I made..
My Earth Day Bouquet is made from a Chadwicks clothing catalog, an used priority envelope, and bits and pieces from projects past.

Come stop by the CSS group page on papercraft planet to check out what everyone else has created!!!

For the love of fabric!

I have always loved fabric the colors and textures just draw me. Too bad I have VERY limited knowledge of how to actually sew. Lol I need to get on that don't ya think. So just on a whim I decided to mesh my love of fabric with my love of creating hair goodies! Years ago I was the go to girl for making all my friend's hair accessories and since I have two little boys I haven't made anything in ages! Soooooo Lillianna Marie Designs was born. I'm still working on more and more fun stuff for the shop, but I wanted to show off a few of my favorite pieces so far!

Royal Kat Challenge

Come join the Royal Kat Challenge on the QKD blog!

This week's challenge was

April Fool's - Create a card/layout/project that has something of a surprise to it. For example: you can have a "secret" pocket on your layout/card or a "surprise" window or something.
I had fun playing with my QKD Build a Bot set to create a bot with a secret message of love!

Don't forget to check out what the other Kats came up with!!!

Lots going on at CSS!!!

Oh my gosh there is just so much fun happening at Clear and Simple Stamps right now
I just participated in an ATC (artist trading card swap)
I absolutely LOVED each piece that I got back! What a delight to put all those new atc's in my folder to treasure for ages to come!

Then I got to participate in the newest challege over at the CSS papercraft planet group. Where I used paper piecing on my card. Don't forget to check out what all the other
girl's are making!!!

Father's Day Book a little early

I love how versatile the QKD Get Inked stamps
truly are! I know Father's Day is still a bit away but I really wanted to make something for Dad with this stamp set! I used chipboard to create the cover and I also up cycled a few bits and pieces laying around my house. The type on the front of the book says:
The key (get it ...KEY, ok sorry) to a wonderful family
is a kind and loving father
happy father's day 2009

I LOVE LOVE LOVE masking tape and with a little stazon
you I made my own decotape for the spine.
I filled the book with blank cardstock pages I'm not sure if this will become a scrapbook,
photo album, or if I will just let the boys draw in it for Daddy.
There are tons of tutorials on the web for journal and book making how to's,
have fun with it!!!
